I graduated from Traviss in 2019 as a Certified Dental Assistant. Not only am I passionate about creating beautiful smiles, I take pride in knowing that I have played a role in helping people achieve confidence in their smile. Our teamwork here is amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and kind, and we all share the same common goal of treating our patients with the highest level of care.
I am a mother of two, and love to spend time with my family on my days off. Our favorite hobby is kayaking the rivers of Florida any chance we get.
Clinic Coordinator & Orthodontic Assistant
My name is Jan, and I have worked with Dr. Scott for 30 years. It has been my honor to have such a wonderful opportunity. Not only do Dr. Scott and Dr. Jon provide their patients with quality orthodontic treatment, but they also treat their staff with total respect. I am so grateful to work with an amazing staff. We always help one another and work to provide the patients with a great orthodontic experience.
As an assistant, I take care of our patients’ clinical needs and order supplies for the office. I enjoy interacting with patients and using my experience and knowledge to provide everyone with the best orthodontic experience and the best care.
I’m a proud mom who raised two wonderful sons. My sons were very athletic, so I spent many years volunteering for their sports and schools. I’m blessed to have three healthy grandchildren. My time is spent with them: helping with school and with their extracurricular activities. I enjoy taking pictures and do scrapbooking for the children.
I have been in the dental field since 1996, gaining experience in dental assisting, expanded functions, and orthodontic expanded functions. At Scott Orthodontics since 2020, I assist the doctors with patient treatment and work hard to help patients feel comfortable during the process and being part of their journey to love their smiles. I really enjoy seeing our patients’ transitions and progress throughout treatment. The best part is seeing their results after their braces are removed!
Outside of work, I love spending time with my children, fishing, playing at the park, and going to the beach.
I went to Remington Technical College in 2012 and worked as an assistant for two years before joining the Scott Orthodontics team. I appreciate working one-on-one with patients and seeing how confident they are when they get their braces off. I also enjoy the excellent teamwork we have here. We all work together in the best interests of our patients.
I’m married to Derek and have a son named Cooper and a dog named Sprocket. We love the beach and going out on our boat.
I was trained on the job and became a certified orthodontic assistant at the start of 2018. I love seeing the transformation of patients over the course of treatment. My favorite part is to see patients who hated to smile when they first came to the office leave with a smile from ear to ear the day they get their braces off. I also enjoy getting to talk to and know my patients; I love making their orthodontic experience enjoyable and fun.
I am so thankful for Dr. Scott, Dr. Jon and the team I work with. We all truly support and help each other in any way that we can. I know the ladies I work with have my back no matter what, both within the office setting and in my life outside of work. Dr. Scott and Dr. Jon genuinely care about us as people, not just employees. They are great teachers and leaders.
I am originally from Alabama but have lived in Florida since middle school. I have a dog who’s like my child. When I have free time, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and experiencing new things.
I attended Traviss Technical College and graduated in 2018 as a certified dental assistant—the same year I joined Scott Orthodontics! As I work mostly with our new patients, I conduct initial exams, maintain patient records and information, review treatment fees and payment options, and provide patient and parent education on orthodontic treatment. I love working with patients and their families. It is inspiring to feel like we are truly making a difference in their lives.
I am also so grateful and blessed to be a part of this wonderful team. Our team is like family to me. Everyone is so welcoming, encouraging, helpful, understanding, and compassionate.

As an orthodontic assistant, I work alongside the doctors and assist with wire changes, bracket placement, and impressions to provide patients with the highest level of treatment in their orthodontic care. I have been a dental assistant and sterilization tech since 2016, and have learned so much from Dr. Scott, Dr. Jon and our team since joining the office in 2018. Every day I come to work looking forward to the patients I’m going to see and talk with. Each of them is unique and wonderful, and I love the conversations that happen while I’m assisting in their orthodontic care. It is rewarding to help people obtain beautiful, straight teeth.
When I’m not at work, I like to be outdoors and go to the gym. I’m always up for a challenge, whether it’s easy or hard. I stay determined and always want to learn more!
I earned my Bachelor of Science in public relations from the University of Florida in 2009 and brought my knowledge and experience to Dr. Scott’s office in 2018. I oversee our marketing and communication efforts. We have a dedicated and hard-working team that creates beautiful smiles, and it is rewarding to communicate such positive stories and results. I also manage our human resources, bookkeeping, and accounts payable.

I met my husband, Dr. Jon, during our undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. The greatest blessings in our lives are our two young children, Robert and Ellie. We also have a Golden Retriever named Lady. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, horseback riding, running, and almost anything outside to soak up the beautiful Florida sunshine.
I joined our team in 1999 as a certified orthodontic assistant, and also worked many years as a treatment coordinator. As our Financial Coordinator, I work with new patients to establish their payment plans and work with families regarding any financial questions. I am also the insurance coordinator and work with patients and parents to explore their orthodontic insurance benefits and file their claims to help minimize the out-of-pocket expense.
I have been happily married to Steve for 23 years, and we have two children. Our daughter has her private practice in Lakeland as a mental health counselor, and she and her husband just welcomed our first grandchild, Mackenzie. Our son is a college student at Florida Polytechnic and has attained his private pilot's license with hopes to become a commercial airline pilot someday. In my spare time, I love riding my motorcycle, camping on weekends and enjoy cooking for my family!
Working with Dr. Scott and Dr. Jon is truly a pleasure. They are two of the best orthodontists I've ever known, and their reputation speaks for itself. We all take pride in our work and care for our patients, and it shows. It's a wonderful feeling to be a member of this great team!
Appointment Coordinator & WH Front Office Coordinator
I joined Scott Orthodontics in June 2019, and I feel truly blessed to work with such a wonderful group of professionals. I could not be happier with where I am. Both doctors are outstanding and so highly respected. I am proud to be a part of this office.
It has been my pleasure to help our patients schedule appointments and set up financial contracts. I enjoy greeting all our patients and look forward to helping make their experience the best it can possibly be.
I am happily married to my best friend Derek and we have two children, son Noah and daughter Riley. We have two bluetick hound dogs Bonnie Blue and Stormy June. We stay busy during our weekends as a family watching Noah’s travel basketball games, going on trips, camping, and going to the lake on our boat.
I began working for Dr. Scott in 1995. As the scheduling coordinator, I work hard to schedule appointments for patients that will fit into their busy lives. In addition to schedule management, I greet new and existing patients when they visit our office, and I facilitate incoming calls.
I love spending time with new and existing patients when they visit our office. I enjoy working with people and feel gratified when I am able to help others. I feel very fortunate that I am able to work with such a great group of people who truly care about our patients and each other.
